How to register Unicast Lite while off-line

Intro

This article explains how to register and/or use Unicast Lite while off-line.

On application start-up Unicast Lite always if the machine is registered and also checks for an internet connection.

Off-line Registration

There are two options for registering a machine to run off-line:

1. Connect the machine to the internet and run Unicast Lite, this will allow you to register the software on the machine in the usual way. You will now be able to run Unicast Lite on this machine when disconnected from the internet. (See On-line Registration below...)
   
   
2. If it is not possible to connect the machine to the internet for registration you can request an off-line registration code. Use the Start menu and go to BlueAd and then click on "Unicast Lite Register Offline". You will be presented with the off-line registration form as in the following screenshot:
   
   
   
   You will need to make a note of the following details:
   
   

   MAC Address	As listed on the displayed form, see screenshot above.
   Full Name	This is your name or the name of the company you want to register to.
   Industry Type	Your commercial sector or the type of use you want to put this to eg Restaurant, School, High Street Fashion, etc...
   Email	A contact email for this registration.
   Postcode	Ideally the postcode where this Unicast Lite is installed.

   
   
   With the above details to hand request the registration code by one of the following actions:
   
   
   1. Raise a support call requesting off-line registration codes. (Preferred)
   2. Email a request for off-line registration to support@bluead.co.uk
   3. Call support free on 0800 567 7289.
   
   
   BlueAd support team will provided you with a Registration ID and a Registration Key, these values need to be entered in to the corresponding text boxes on the off-line registration form then click [Register]. Unicast Lite should now start normally and you will not have to register again unless you change machine or Bluetooth dongle.

On-line Registration

On Unicast Lite start-up if the machine is not registered but is connected to the internet a form will be displayed to gather some user details before the application starts; once registered Unicast Lite can be run on or off-line without restriction.

NB. Whilst connected to the internet the registration details may be viewed and edited at any time by going to the Options tab of the main form.
